Dear Sisters and Brothers of Ames First, Colo, and Collins UMCs,

Due to the early scheduling of pastors’ moves this year and my husband, Carl’s, ongoing health issues, we will both be moving to our retirement home in Kansas April 29th. The original plan was to have me stay behind in Ames to support the pastoral transition until the new pastor was within a week or so of arriving. I will now plan to support the pastoral transition remotely (zoom, email, phone), as much as is
possible.

The Bishop’s Cabinet and Parish SPPRC have granted me an extended sick leave in order to care for Carl’s health needs, through June 30th. My retirement date will remain July 1, 2022. Rev. Dave Crow has graciously agreed to preach in my place at all three churches; the Cabinet and Circuit will provide back up and help for Pastor Nikki as needed until Pastor Amanda arrives July 1st.

Thank you for your grace and support during this time of transition! If you have any questions or need pastoral care in May or June, please contact Pastor Nikki.

Blessings,
Pastor Kerrin
