This weekend, Pastor Dave will start a new three week study regarding key Biblical texts as they relate to same sex issues. We also have our current classes meeting. See all of the information below.
“In the Library” is a group who will be meeting for a three part(week) study and discussion on the key Biblical texts that relate to same sex issues. Those attending are to bring their Bibles and an open mind and heart full of God’s truth and love. This is being led by Pastor Dave.
“Faith and Reason” continues to explore the relationship between matters of current issues and matters of faith . Using John Wesley’s “quadrilateral” of looking at life’s concerns through the lens of scripture, tradition, reason, and experience all helps to guide the class’ conversations. Currently they are discussing the relevance of Jesus in today’s world through a study titled, “Saving Jesus Redux”. They meet in room E110
“Walking Through the Bible” is a class led by Dean Sampson that is reviewing the material written by Adam Hamilton in the study titled “Making Sense of the Bible.” This group meets in room E111
“Coffee Talk” is a class currently led by Carrie Copley that is starting a new advent study titled “Not a Silent Night” on November 16. The study will focus upon Mary, and it has been written by Adam Hamilton. They meet in the Conference Room
“Connections” is a class especially for our post-high to twenty-five year olds (or so) designed to be a great opportunity for all to connect with God and with each other. This class meets in the Sarah Room.
