This 2019-2020 school year, we will focus on the theme of “Together.” We will explore many areas of this theme that will help us to create a closer connection to God, to each other, and to the community and world around us. Please register your child/youth (infant through high school senior) at by September 5. This registration includes permission for a variety of things and gives us the best information to make sure we have created the best learning and loving environment for your child/youth. Contact Nicole Smith if you have any issues with the registration.

Together – Children’s Sunday School

All children (nursery through fifth grade) will meet on Rally Sunday (and every Sunday) in the Sanctuary at 9:45a.m.

We will begin the morning with some fun music to kick things off followed by a morning of “speed rotations” that center around our theme of “Together” for our Kindergarten through 5th grade. Nursery, 2/3 Year Old Preschool, and 4/5 Year Old Preschool classes will go to their classrooms for some fun lessons and time to get to know each other and the teachers. Parents are invited to drop in to see what their kids are up to at any time! Nursery class is in Room E203 and will be led by Meredith Farrell and Andrea Casaretto. 2/3 Year Old Preschool class is in Room E202 and will be led by Kimberly Fanny and Sharon Tamashunas. 4/5 Year Old Preschool class is in Room E204 and will be led by Stephanie Starrett and Clove Woodworth. Grades Kindergarten and First will be grouped together, grades Second and Third will be grouped together, and grades Fourth and Fifth will be grouped together. The Rotations for Sunday school will typically be Drama (Rm. E206)-led by Wesley Tener, Art (Rm. E205)-led by Suann Evans, and Games (Big Balcony Classroom 302)-led by an awesome adult who is currently feeling the Holy Spirit nudging them to contact Nicole.

September 22 is the starting date for the FUMC all church study Unafraid, Living with Courage and Hope in Uncertain Times by Adam Hamilton.

The book and five session video series discusses fear as it relates to a multitude of origins. Hamilton “draws on recent research, real-life examples and fresh biblical insight to untangle the knots we feel about disappointing others, failures, financial insecurity, loneliness, insignificance and aging”. He also discusses exaggerated fears of terrorism, crime and politics.

Youth and children’s studies will use age appropriate resources. Adult, Youth and Childrens’ Ministry committees encourage all interested members to participate in Sunday morning classes, mid-week and other small group settings. New groups will be formed as needed.

To order a book for the adult study, contact your current group or class leader by September 15. Individuals can also order a book through the church office, 232-2750. Cost is $16.
