Christmas Eve is coming soon!

Though our Christmas Eve services must be physically distant this year, “Christmas Connection” bags can help you invite friends, family, and neighbors to join you for our virtual service.
Inside these bags will be the traditional “Silent Night” candles (2 per bag) to help bring the light and joy of Christmas Eve into your living room. You will also find gifts from many of our small groups and ministries as well as more information about how you can get connected at Ames First United Methodist Church.
To reserve a bag for your family, and those who you want to share with, call Deb at the church office (515-232-2750) to let the Christmas Connections Team know how many bags you will pick up so an appropriate number can be ready for you. Please reserve your bag(s) by December 1.
You can drive by the church south entrance to pick up your “Christmas Connection” bags and drop off your Christmas offering at the same time on Thursday, December 17 from 4-7p.m.
If you have someone who you would like to connect with that doesn’t live near Ames, you can also order a “Christmas Connection” box to be shipped to them at their home. The Christmas Connections Team will package and ship these boxes. You can also Sponsor a Box that will then be sent to people and places who have to work on Christmas Eve such as the hospital emergency department, fire departments, hotels, and those on our outreach list! The boxes can be ordered ONLINE ONLY at the following link:
All orders for shipped boxes cost $10 and must be placed by Tuesday, December 1 to allow time for shipping.
This year all Christmas Eve Worship services will be streamed on our YouTube channel ONLY on December 24. A special family themed Christmas presentation will be streamed at 4:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. we will livestream a “Best of the Best” of Ames First United Methodist Church Christmas Services Past.

Merry Christmas! Share the light!
